Apple is allegedly preparing to introduce a major redesign with iOS 19, marking one of the biggest visual updates for iPhone’s software since iOS 7. The upcoming updates are asked to focus on stability on apple devices with a new ‘glass effect’ to improve the user interface. Here is everything you need to know.

The latest insight comes from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who recently discussed the design changes of iOS 19 in a Live Q&A session. He highlighted Apple’s efforts to unite the form and experience of iPhones, iPads and MACS, which reduces the difference in UI elements such as buttons, icons and app layouts. Menu bar, dock and navigation control features, which are currently different in the ecosystem of Apple, are likely to be more uniform.

Gurman said, “This is going to be a very dramatic set of changes. It can be used slightly, but I think in the end people are going to like it.”

Beyond stability, updates will also allegedly introduce a ‘glass effect’ in the interface, giving iOS 19 more modern and sophisticated forms. While the details of this visual change are limited, it is expected to bring a fresh beauty to Apple’s software.

As apps, not all of them may see immediate changes, but the core application is expected to get the interface updates to suit the new design language. Ridigine is also asked to take inspiration from Visionos, which further enhances the gap between the Apple’s separate operating system.
