Timothée Chalamet on ignoring Dave Bautista at the Oscars: I was looking for my mother
Actor Timothée Chalamet apologized to Dave Bautista for ignoring him at the Oscars and clarified that he was looking for his mother at the time. Speaking on Cody Rhodes’ channel, Chalamet expressed concern that Bautista might think he was trying to “Hollywood” him.

Timothée Chalamet has apologized to Dave Bautista for allegedly snubbing him at the Oscars. During a conversation with WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes, Timothy explained that he was looking for his mother when he met Dave during the awards ceremony.
Speaking to Cody for his YouTube channel, What do you want to talk about? with cody rhodesThe Marty Supreme actor said, “The last time I saw Dave, I couldn’t find my mom at the Oscars. I feel bad because I hope he didn’t think I was ‘Hollywooding’ him. He was saying ‘Hi,’ and I literally couldn’t find where my mom was. If you’re watching this, Dave, I hope I didn’t shoot myself in the foot. I love you, “Dude.”
Timothy also shared his experience of working with Dave on the set of Dune and how he is as an actor. He expressed excitement and almost jumped out of his chair when talking about Dave. He candidly shared the story of how he was the first one to greet Dave when shooting began.
The actor continued, “I had just knocked on the door of his trailer, and I had this animal-themed song playing, and we hadn’t even met yet. I was in his trailer, and I was going the same way (imitating Dave’s entrance celebration). The look on his face was priceless; he just couldn’t believe it. He had no idea at all, and I love working with him. He’s a very serious person and a very serious actor.”
Timothy was last seen in the musical biopic – complete unknown (2024). It was based on life and Career of American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan.
