Thug Life has created for a decent start in theaters as it was released on 5 June. The film recorded positive advance booking in Tamil Nadu and the rest of the southern states as well as North India, indicating stable box office collection in the early day.
Starring in Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan, Silambarson TR, and other lead roles, the film Mani Ratnam-directed by the film performed a pre-relative screening before its dramatic launch.

Taking his IG stories, Trisha Krishnan shared a picture of himself with artists and crew of thugs, including Kamal Haasan. The team attended the action thriller pre-relief screening before making its way for the cinema hall and multiplexes.
The team looked casual and comfortable as they joined for a photo together. In addition to Trisha and K, Jujoo George, Ashok Selvan, Abhiram and others were also present.
Thug life bag show in Tamil Nadu in the morning
Prior to its release, thug life was allowed by the Tamil Nadu government to host a special show in the state. As a result, a total of five shows were allowed, which will screen the next day from 9 am to 2 pm.
This has helped the film receive a wider audience’s response, as the enthusiasts flooded with their nearest cinemas to watch a high anticipated film.
Thug Jeevan Karnataka controversy
In other news, Mani Ratnam Action Thriller has faced a ban in the state of Karnataka.
This happened after Kamal Haasan’s comments hurt the sentiments of Kannada speakers after one, seeking immediate apology from the actor to prevent his film from being banned.
However, the actor refused to issue an apology and instead moved to the High Court for resolution, demanded a cordial conversation with KFCC to overcome the misunderstanding. Till then, the film will not be shown anywhere in Karnataka and is banned in the state.
