Kamal Haasan and director Mani Ratnam’s recent outing, ‘Thug Life’, has completed a week in theaters. However, the collection of the film looks dangerously less, especially for a film with big names. In seven days, gangster drama has earned Rs 42.25 crore at the domestic box office. At this rate, a mark of Rs 50 crore for the film seems to be away.
‘Thug Life’ was one of the most anticipated films of 2025. The film was released in theaters on 5 June and opened for negative reactions. After earning Rs 36.9 crore during the initial weekend, the film is struggling in theaters during the week.
According to the tracking website Sacnilk‘Thug Life’ has been seeing a gradual decline in the collection since its release. On Wednesday, the film grossed Rs 1.25 crore at the domestic box office. The film failed to keep stable during the week, which is a major sign for its failure.

‘Thug Life’ marked the reunion of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after 38 years. The film, in an emotional drama, included a contingent of an actors including Hassan, Silambarson, Trisha Krishnan, Nasar, Abhiram, Arjun Chidambaram, Vadivukarasi and others.
