In October 2020, Benny Blanco appeared on the Zack Song Show and talked about Justin Bieber and praised him for not being a contemporary artist. Benny and Justin collaborated on the single ‘Lonely’ at that time. And Blanco sat down for an interview on the Zach Song Show. Here, he adds, “Justin is not one of those cookie-cutter pop artists. As you know, he’s like, ‘This is my new single, and here’s my makeup line.’ And he’s like, Justin is like, ‘Yo. I have a pimple and am feeling nervous today. “He’s always been outspoken about that stuff,” Blanco said.
Although it’s unclear if it was Selena he was shading, the launch of Rare Beauty fell within the same time frame. There was another faction of fans that came to Blanco’s defense by saying that she had worked with Selena a year earlier.
In 2019, the two collaborated on the song ‘I Can’t Get Enough’. This was an indication that the two had a healthy working relationship and there were no bad feelings.

In a series of comments, she suggested that she was actually dating the record producer. Before responding to other commenters, she commented on a since-deleted Instagram post by a fan account, “He is everything in my heart.” “I don’t understand. If you really care about me. That’s the happiest thing for me. If you don’t want to, feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never let your words guide my life. Ever My work is done. If you can’t accept me with my happiness then don’t come into my life.
Furthermore, she also said that she and the producer had already been dating for half a year at the time, telling a fan, “It’s been 6 months BB.”
