Salman Khan is one of the most celebrated stars of Bollywood. He is loved by his fans and co-stars alike for his outspokenness and sense of humour. In an old conversation, the Sikandar actor once teased Kareena Kapoor for giving “2 flops” and successful films with Ajay Devgn.
During her previous appearance on Bigg Boss 4 in 2010, Kareena Kapoor was accompanied by her Golmaal 3 co-stars Ajay Devgn, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and director Rohit Shetty. The show’s host Salman Khan asked Bebo if she has worked with Ajay Devgn before. In response, the actress named her previous films Golmaal Returns and Omkara.
Reacting to the Buckingham Murders actress, Salman jokingly took a dig at her, “Wah 2 hits, toh mujhe 2 flop kyun dee aapne?” This made Bebo and other star members laugh. Moreover, Bebo expressed her hope to do a “superhit” film together with the Bodyguard star.
It is known that before Bodyguard, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor had worked together in ‘Kyun Ki…’ (2005) and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Khanna’ (2009), which did not perform well at the box office.
It is worth mentioning that Golmaal 3 was released on 4 November 2010 and Bodyguard was released a year later on 31 August 2011. The film starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor received a good response at the box office and remains one of the favourite films of cine-goers.
After Bodyguard, the two worked together in Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which released in 2015. It too received immense love from fans and is one of the most loved Bollywood films.
On the work front, Salman Khan will be seen in AR Murugadoss’ hard-core action entertainer, Sikandar. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar and Sathyaraj in key roles. Pinkvilla exclusively told you that Sharman Joshi has been roped in for the much-anticipated film. The film will release next year on Eid 2025.
Meanwhile, Kareena is currently enjoying the release of the mystery-thriller, The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta. She will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which will release on Diwali 2024.
