Ram Charan has spoken fondly about his father, the legendary megastar Chiranjeevi, on several occasions. In one of his old interviews, Ram Charan talked about the kind of upbringing he and his siblings had while growing up, where they were unaware that their father was a superstar.
Speaking with Sam Fragoso on the Talk Easy podcast, Ram Charan recalled growing up in an environment that was completely devoid of the superstar status that Chiranjeevi had achieved in his professional life. Ram emphasized how his father always kept his work at a safe distance from his personal life.
Sharing an anecdote, Ram said, “A famous Indian artist had made a painting of him (Chiranjeevi), and that too did not come to our house because he did not want the influence of his work to come to our residence.”
Ram further mentioned that his father understood the dangers of the film industry, which comes with a lot of glamor and tempting offers that can put anyone off. To ensure that his children did not fall victim to this, Chiranjeevi made sure that they never knew about his father’s superstar identity.
Ram Charan explained, “He felt it was a very glamorous, glamorous industry, and he wanted us to be as normal as possible. He didn’t want us to know that we had a superstar father and assume that everything would be easy for us.
Lastly, the Game Changer actor credits his extraordinary success to his father, who gave him a safe and healthy upbringing.
Ram highlighted that he is now able to pay his EMIs and is doing very well in life, all because of the values instilled in him by his father.
In another old interview with Times Now, Ram Charan recalled the time when he went to his father Chiranjeevi after his first film to seek advice on how to improve his craft. He was surprised when the megastar told him that he had no special advice to give. Instead, Chiranjeevi encouraged his son to follow his own path and create an unforgettable journey on his own merit.
On the work front, Ram Charan is currently involved in films like Game Changer, RC 16 and another untitled project with filmmaker Sukumar. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is waiting for the release of his film Vishwambhara.
