Spears once revealed that after her split from famous face Justin Timberlake, she had a brief romance with Colin Farrell. It was a rebound or short-lived romance between the two.
According to People , the singer opened up about her high-profile 2003 romance with the Irish actor in her new memoir The Woman in Me , in which she revealed that they got together after she and Timberlake split in March 2002. She revealed that she met the actor while they were filming the 2003 action film S.W.A.T.
The book states that Spears and Pharrell had a “feud that lasted two weeks.”Controversy That’s the only word for it—we were clinging to each other, and grappling with such passion that it seemed as if we were fighting in the street.”
Spears went public with their romance shortly after, with the actor bringing the pop star as his date to the January 2003 premiere of his film The Recruit. At the premiere, Farrell spoke candidly to reporters about their relationship. “We are not dating,” he said at the premiere. Entertainment Weekly“She’s a sweet, sweet girl. There’s nothing going on – just friends.”
Eventually, the legendary singer married her second husband, Kevin Federline, in 2004, and the two welcomed sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, before splitting in 2007. Meanwhile, Pharrell also has a son, James, 20, with model Kim Bordenave, and a son, Henry, 14, with actress Eliza Bachleda-Krush.
In June 2024, TMZ reported that Spears, who was dating her housekeeper Paul Richard Soliz, reportedly ended her relationship with him because she felt he was taking advantage of her lavish lifestyle. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Britney declared herself “absolutely single”, and said she would “never be with another man as long as I live!!!”
A source further told TMZ that she is not hurt by the split from Soliz because she decided to do so after seeing his “true colors.” Soliz’s name was first linked to Britney after her divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari in August 2023.
Spears is now getting her voice back and trying to make better choices in her life and career after her 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021.
