Two leading figures in the Indian film industry, Ajay Devgan and Karan Johar, have collaborated on various projects over the years, each bringing their unique talent to the screen. For Karan, the letter “K” has been a lucky charm, symbolizing the success of his many blockbuster films. Taking a trip down memory lane, we recall a memorable moment when Karan asked Ajay about his guilty superstition. Ajay humorously commented on how Karan’s films continued to flourish until they teamed up for a project and it didn’t take off at all. This shocked Johar and he finally said, ‘I am not firing fast enough.’
During an appearance on Koffee With Karan, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Love Story director asked Ajay about his guilty superstition that he believed in during the rapid-fire round. To this Ajay said, “I had this superstition that all your films started with ‘K’ until we made ‘Kaal’.” KJo laughed out loud and replied, “Thank you, Ajay! Thank you!”.
Meanwhile, the initial “K” is closely associated with Karan Johar’s success in films and is often seen as a nod to his hits. From the famous Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to the romantic film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Karan’s films have always attracted the audience.
The charm of “K” continued with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kalank, with each film highlighting its unique story and emotional depth.
Talking about Devgan’s work front, he will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar. Singham Again will release in theaters on November 1, 2024. The recently released trailer has increased the anticipation among fans and movie lovers.
