Aditya Roy Kapur made his acting debut in 2009 with London Dreams alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. But it was his 2013 film Aashiqui 2 with Shraddha Kapoor that made him the heartthrob of B-town. The next year, he shared the screen with Parineeti Chopra in Daawat-e-Ishq. Since the actor worked with both the female stars, Karan Johar asked him who among them was more talented. The Fitoor actor immediately swept the question under the carpet with a wave of his hand. He also jokingly said that neither of them were talented.
In an episode of Koffee With Karan Season 6, Aditya Roy Kapur shared the sofa with Sidharth Malhotra. During the fun and light-hearted rapid-fire round, Karan Johar asked the OK Jaanu actor, “Shraddha (Kapoor) or Parineeti (Chopra) is a more talented actor.” To this they responded by waving their hands and saying ‘None’, which showed that neither of the two actresses had talent.
The director of Rocky and Rani’s love story confirmed her statement by asking, “You think none of them are talented?” Adi jokingly said, “Yes, no talent” which made Sidharth Malhotra laugh out loud. While Aditya is loved by millions of fans across the world, there was a time in his career when he felt insecure.
During a conversation with Kareena Kapoor Khan on her chat show What Women Want, Kapoor talked about the bad phase in her career when none of her films were doing good business at the box office. The Night Manager actor said, “There have been some weak moments, like films not playing or when no one has work. Some films didn’t do well and I didn’t like anything (that was being offered), probably because I was insecure at that time,” he said. He further said that it was a difficult period where he did not like anything and even stopped working for some time.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aditya Roy Kapur is currently shooting for Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino with Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkana Sensharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others .
