Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in an intimate ceremony last month, after which they hosted a grand reception for their friend and industry colleagues. Now, Zaheer has opened up about the time when he first realised that Sonakshi was perfect for him. Just like in films, in real life too, when a person gets thrilled by seeing someone special, it often sets the ground for a whirlwind romance. It seems Zaheer understands this feeling very well. In a throwback picture from 2017, the now newlywed couple was seen having a fun time. Sonakshi held her boyfriend’s neck and Zaheer looked at them lovingly. “This day. This moment. This feeling. I knew this is forever,” he wrote on Instagram. Doesn’t this picture scream love from miles away?

Sonakshi looked stunning in a red silk brocade saree at the reception. Zaheer wore a white saree along with his wife. shirtbeige embroidered coat and white trousers. In an emotional note, Sonakshi wrote, “What a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from each of our friends, family and team, it felt like the universe came together for two loving people and gave them exactly what they had always hoped, wished and prayed for. If this isn’t divine intervention, we don’t know what is. We both are truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us.”

The celebrity couple wore ethnic white attire on their wedding day. Sonakshi wrote, “On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017) we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on. Today that love has led us through all the challenges and victories to this moment where with the blessings of both our families and both our Gods we are now husband and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all the beautiful things with each other, from now till forever.”
