In short

  • Soham Parekh has accepted to make several technical jobs at a time
  • Startup founders have accused him of misleading companies
  • He now claims to have full -time work on only a startup

India -based software engineersohm Parekh has publicly accepted to work full -time for several startups, in a manifestation that ruled the debate about distance work norms and morality in the technical industry. The issue first came to light when Posted on X by former MixPanal CEO Suhail Doshi, alleging that Parekh was employed by “34 startups at the same time” and cheated Y Combinator-supported firms. Doshi claimed that he ended Parekh within a week of the search for overlap. Additional founders confirmed Doshi’s warning, allowing Parekh’s test week at least one lead, while the other revealed that he had just interviewed him before learning his dual roles.

Parekh eventually responded to the allegations during an interview on Tech Show TBPN, openly acknowledged the truth behind the allegations. “It’s true,” he said, “I am not proud of what I have done. But, you know, financial situations, essentially. No one really likes to work 140 hours a week, okay? But I had to do it out of need. I was in very strict financial conditions.” He clarified that he personally handled all assigned work without the help of other engineers or AI tools.

According to Parekh, he began to awaken several full -time jobs around 2022 after postponing the graduate school and enrolling an online program from Georgia Tech. However, a spokesman from Georgia Tech reportedly confirmed that Parekh had no record as a nominated student – questioning the timeline or documentation.

The exposure further came through an exchange through an exchange on X through an exchange with Andrey Mular, who confirmed that Parekh had worked there. Parekh said that he once played four concurrent roles, which earned monthly between $ 30,000 and $ 40,000. The value later verified Parekh’s identity and participation.

Another affected employer, Create’s Marcus Low, described the parekh hiring after a strong interview performance, but soon faced the issues of appearance. Lowe reviewed Perekh’s conversion activity and found a code contribution to another startup, sync.so during individual downtime. He said that the situation was “a major waste of time, it seemed worth speaking about such direct immoral behavior.”

In addition to Lowe’s account, many sync.So employees confirmed Parekh’s participation, supported by internal materials and online materials, showing their presence within their operations. The company rejected further comments.

The controversy has attracted attention to the increasing trend of “overrogen”, where workers take many distance jobs without disclosing full engagement. The Wall Street Journal report estimated that there are two or more jobs about about 5.5percent Americans-a trend that is accelerated by the distance of the epidemic-era. However, conflicts with employment agreements and concerns of fairness have begun investigation within the startup communities, especially between small teams dependent on full -time commitment.

After public performance, Parekh said that he had accepted the same role with a young startup Darwin. Darwin’s founder and CEO, Sanjeet Juneja, expressed confidence in Parekh’s skills issued a statement: “Soham is an incredibly talented engineer and we believe in their abilities to help bring our products to the market.”

Parekh also replied through his confirmed X account, “I have been isolated, written, which I know and written by every company that I have worked and worked on every company. But the building is the only thing that I really have known, and this is what I am doing.”

He assured that he has abolished all other employment busyness and entered into a special agreement with Darwin.
