Robert Pattinson has gained popularity by playing the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise. While the actor has worked hard and worked intensely since the release of the vampire films, many moviegoers are unaware of the fact that the actor has been cast in various leading roles after the Twilight films.

Recalling one such incident, the actor revealed that an airport employee once questioned him on his absence from the screen space.

In a conversation with The New York Times, Pattinson detailed the incident where the immigration officer immediately recognized him, and while they were going through the visa verification process, the actor was asked, “Hey, you’re from Twilight.” There are boys. Why did you stop acting?”

In response to the question, the actor said, “I am Batman.” Although the airport official did not understand the context of the statement, she simply laughed.

Further in his conversation with the media portal, the actor revealed that he did not expect the franchise to remain successful for so long. “When I got my first job, I never in a million years thought I’d still be doing this,” he said. The Remember Me star further admitted, “I can’t believe this is still going on.”

After achieving success in the Twilight films, the actor took on some more complex roles in the Hollywood industry. Some of the films include Cosmopolis, Good Time, High Life, The Light House and Tenet among many others.

While interacting with the airport staff, the actor was trying to tell them that he played the role of Batman in the Matt Reeves directed film.

Meanwhile, talking about his character in the superhero suit, Pattinson shared, “It was an idea I had for Bruce. He’s been portrayed as a playboy so far. But what if he was completely Is he socially inept and agoraphobic?

The actor continued, “If he hasn’t recovered from being a 10-year-old boy who lets his parents die, then the grieving process makes more sense. What he feels is he is himself; He thinks he’s an incredibly weak and vulnerable child, and he needs a completely alter ego to keep himself alive, let alone fight all the criminals in Gotham.”

As for the upcoming project, Robert Pattinson will next be seen in Mickey 17, which will release in theaters on April 18, 2025.
