After much wait, the makers of Sarfira have finally released its official trailer today (18 June). So far the trailer has received a great response from the audience, it has also garnered a lot of buzz on social media.
What is more interesting and important is how his fans have reacted after seeing a glimpse of Suriya in Akshay Kumar’s film, which shows his powerful fan base.

Imagine, Suriya appeared in the trailer for just 2 seconds but his fans went crazy seeing him on screen after 2 years. Such is the power of Suriya fans. As soon as the trailer of Sarfira was released, the Jai Bhim actor started trending on social media.
Reacting to his special appearance in the film, an X user wrote, “Did the 2 min 31 sec trailer excite you? No, the 2 seconds of my character literally excite me.”
While another user, who is a true fan of Suriya, said that he would watch the film only to see the special appearance of his favourite actor. He wrote, “#Sarfira – Suriya’s look, I would sit only for this scene!”

For those who don’t know, Sarfira is a remake of Surya’s National Award-winning Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, in which Paresh Rawal is once again playing the villain.

The intriguing trailer of Sarfira shows Akshay Kumar’s character in debt, where he says that his priority will be to repay his loans to get money. However, he is committed to a startup idea and has full faith in its success.
Further, the trailer of Sarfira shows Kumar travelling to the city to meet airline tycoon Paresh Rawal, who presents the idea of starting a low-cost airline for all. However, Rawal opposes the idea.
After this, Kumar’s character returns to the village and promises to break the barrier of cost and caste after advising to do farming. Akshay’s determination to fulfill the dreams of the common man is clearly visible in the trailer.
Suriya also has a special appearance in the trailer.

Sarfira is an upcoming action film that is said to be inspired by real-life events. Starring Akshay Kumar, the film is the story of a man who is determined to democratise air travel despite the insurmountable hurdles of the capital-intensive aviation sector.
How he deals with the challenges, and strives to make flying more accessible to all, forms the core plot of the story. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Sarfirra also features a stellar cast of Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film will hit the theatres on July 12, 2024. Sarfira is produced by Aruna Bhatia, Suriya, Jyotika and Vikram Malhotra.
