Two weeks ago, Google launched Pixel 10 phones in India. They are now on sale in India, except for Pixel 10 Pro folds, which should come to the market in the coming weeks. But other phones are here and after using them for more than 10 days, I think I am in a good position to talk a little about them. Here at India Today Tech, we have reviewed both Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro XL. And in both these reviews we are analyzing deep, understanding and their professionals and opposition, their strengths and weaknesses.

In this piece I want to address a different question. It is not a question whether Pixel 10 is worth buying or not. This has been answered in the review. Instead, in this piece I am starting from the point that yes, a pixel 10 is worth buying. However, the question is what you should choose from Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro folds.

But before that question, let me determine the context.

Why on a pixel phone?

Every argument has some sides. This is also the same. A case can be made very well to buy Pixel 10 phones on Samsung galaxies, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, or even Apple iPhone. But at the same time, a case can also be made against Pixel.

Till two years ago, I used to see a niche device to the pixel phone, which used to eat for Google fans and Android Nerds. But last year, Google raised the game and replaced the phone adequately to make it a device for all. This year too, Google has pushed the same lines. No development and revolution, but still improvement. There is still space for polishing and fine-tuning, but a pixel phone is a good or better than Android phones. In fact, seeing all that these phones offer-a large set of camels, the best integration of AI tools through Google Gemini, luxurious display and top-class fit and finish-main-Main Pixel 10 series devices consider the best Android phone to buy devices in India.

Unlike previous years, this time around Google, there is also a big time on the network selling and serving pixel phones in India. The company is now selling the phone made by Google online store directly. There are now more service centers that can handle pixel phones, and overall distribution through stores such as Flipkart and Croma. I wish these phones would also be available through Amazon, but sadly, this place is still not in the list of official pixel vendors.

What is this renovated focus and push from Google that it is serious about pixel phones in India. And it matters, because when Pixel 10 is added as a product, it makes these phones quite a compelling option.

So, which pixel 10 would be the best option

If, like me, you also find Pixel 10 a compelling option, you will wonder: Four Pixel 10 phones, which is worth buying.

For me, it will be Pixel 10 Pro XL. This is a phone that goes to head-to-head with Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max. And it reduces both at the price.

I just reviewed Pixel 10 Pro XL and this is a great phone. It has found a set of cameras that are one of the best people you can get in a phone. In particular, the main camera is a gem. It has a display, which is – yes, you have estimated this correctly – best you can get in a phone best. Also for speakers. And it is made like a porsche, which is durable with capital de and cunning, complete with a soft-touch back glass. Its chipset cannot set the benchmark on fire, but I found that it works smoothly and can handle whatever game you want, it goes to the maximum graphic fidelity. Best of all, unlike sharp phones it does not heat all so much.

And then there are usable AI characteristics, which are unmatched. Google is a leader in AI through its Gemini model, and the company with Pixel 10 is using it completely. The phone is packed with several AI features, although in use I did not find them all necessary or relevant. AI Play Pixel is strong with 10 Pro XL as Google is also making a free one -year Mithun AI Pro subscription of Rs 19,500 with it.

In other words, if you are buying a Pixel 10 series phone, then 10 Pro XL is what you need to consider. And if it is too big for you, then you should go to Pixel 10 Pro with its small 6.3 inch display.

Pixel 10, at a price of Rs 79,999, is a good phone, but in my opinion Pixel 10 Pro is not as good as a deal. This is because Pixel 10 comes with a camera system, while quite good, Pixel 10 is somewhat inferior hardware compared to Pro. There is some cost cuts in other components as well. Compared to the iPhone 16, the price that is priced, and the Galaxy S25, such as phones, compare 10 well. But still, there is a feeling that it is clearly a phone that is one step below the Pixel 10 Pro. It is also remembering Gemini AI Pro Free Subscription, which is strange. After all, Google is giving free membership to students in India, which is to say that millions of people. If someone is spending above Rs 70,000 on the pixel phone, I believe they should also be offered it.

In other words, Pixel 10 has its characteristics. But I will like something like the iPhone 16 – or rather iPhone 17 which must be launched soon – on it.

Pixel 10 Pro fold, meanwhile, I haven’t tried yet. It is not yet a hit in the market. But even with this, I have some reservation on at least on the basis of glasses and what it is going to offer. I believe what it provides, the Pixel 10 Pro fold can be a bit expensive. Of course, it will come with a foldable display – a marquet feature that you can flaunt – but a mixture of its Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro Hardware can make it a phone that cannot offer the same price that the Pixel 10 Pro does XL.
