Pradeep Vijayan was found dead in his Palavakkam house on June 12. The actor’s friends were trying to contact him for the last two days. When he did not pick up the phone, they contacted the police, who found him dead. His body has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem. The cause of death is being investigated.

According to the report, Pradeep had recently complained of difficulty in breathing and dizziness. When there was no response from Pradeep after calling him several times for two days, one of his friends went to see him. When he did not open the door even after knocking several times, the police were contacted.

The Neelankarai police and fire brigade rushed to the house and found Pradeep dead with injury marks on his head. His body was taken to the Royapettah Government Hospital.

Pradeep is believed to have died of a head injury and heart attack two days ago. However, the Neelankarai police are investigating the cause of death and a post-mortem will be conducted on the body.

Singer and actor Soundarya Bala Nandakumar confirmed the sad news with a post on X. It read, “Well this is a shocking one. Loved him so much as a brother. No we never spoke everyday but whenever we spoke occasionally the affection was very much intact. You will be missed Pradeep K Vijayan Anna. May your soul rest in peace.”

Pradeep, fondly called ‘Pappu’, made his debut in 2013. He has acted in several films including Janani-starrer ‘Theegidi’ and ‘Hey Sinamika’. He was last seen in S Kathiresan’s film ‘Rudran’ opposite Raghava Lawrence. Pradeep is also playing a supporting role in Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Maharaja’, which will release in theatres on June 14.
