Watching certain dishes being cooked in the traditional way can often be a great experience. Recently, an Instagram reel showing a village-style recipe for anchovy fish curry won the hearts of many. In the video, the person first cleans the fish and later cuts it up to keep it ready to eat. Next, onions, ginger, garlic and fennel seeds are added to hot oil in a pan. These ingredients are sautéed and combined with chopped tomatoes and spice powders. The mixture is cooked well and taken off the flame.

The mixture is hand-ground on a stone surface to form a paste. Later, this mixture is mixed with other aromatic ingredients. Water is added to dilute it a bit and water from soaked tamarind is used for extra pungency. There are multiple steps and the list of ingredients is long. But the whole process has fascinated many. Many users responded positively to this viral recipe. While some were concerned about the spice level and the amount of oil, others simply commented about its mouth-watering look. Read some comments from Instagram below:

“This food is extraordinary because it is prepared with love and passion, inspired by genuine care for the people it is prepared for. Like a mother’s cooking, it does not rely on expensive ingredients, but still tastes heavenly. The secret ingredient here is love, and that is what makes it so special. This food is truly blessed with a supernatural taste.”

“All I know is that it smells like heaven.”

“Oil is pouring oil.”

“Thank you, I will also take 1 kg rice with it.”

“I know it will taste great, with onions, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, and the best part is that the pepper has been ground on a stone.”

“It looks divine.”

Not just traditional recipes but other tips and tricks are also going viral on social media. Earlier, a video of a woman showing how to cool water without electricity in her village went viral on the internet. Read the full story here.
