After a lot of anticipation, the trailer of Ishaan Khat and Bhumi Pednekar’s Netflix series, The Royals is finally out. While fans lie for celebs, Shahid Kapoor and his wife, Meera Rajput Kapoor, took the actor to his respective social media handle to give a shout. Check it – check!
On 22 April 2025, the makers of Regal Drammy, Royals dropped the trailer of the upcoming series in a grand event. As the trailer dropped, fans took the artists on social media to praise the artists, including Ishaan Khat, Bhumi Pednekar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Sakshi Tanwar, Milind Soman, Dino Moria and others.
Shahid Kapoor was in a hurry to share the clip on his Instagram handle and was vested for his brother Ishan’s show by penning a sweet note. Teri Baton Meen Aisa Ulja Jia actor said, “Love it (Red Heart Emoji). Best wishes for the whole team.” Beautiful Hunk joined by his wife Meera Rajput Kapoor, who was equally excited to see her brother -in -law on the show.
In her note, Meera expressed, “Yahagan koi kasti is contradiction, Hi Nahi. Love it. Can’t wait for this summer watch,” and tagged Ishaan, Bhumi and Zeenat Aman on this post.

Coming into the upcoming series, Royals have been played by Priyanka Ghosh and Nupur Asthana. Written by Neha Veena Sharma, Netflix shows Rangita Prishish Nandi and Ishita Pritish Nandi. Apart from Ishaan and Bhumi, it also includes Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Moriya, Milind Soman, Chunky Pandey, Vaihan Samat, Kavya Tradhan, Sumukhi Suresh, Udit Arora, Lisa Mishra and Luke Kenny. The series is fully prepared to premiere on the OTT veteran on 9 May 2025.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the 2025 action thriller film Dava. Pooja Hegde and Pavel Gulati were also included under the direction of Rawson Andrew. He is currently working on his next film Arjun Ustara with Vishal Bhardwaj. While Kapoor will lead the show, he will join Tripti Dimri, Nana Patekar, Radip Hooda and Vikrant Massey.
