A guest was shocked after attending a family friend’s wedding, where guests were treated differently based on their “wealth.” The anonymous Reddit user shared his experience on the @r/weddingshaming page. The user reported that the groom is from an “extremely rich family that paid for the wedding”. However, the groom only accepted the money and the family was not involved in the wedding preparations. Elaborating on the poor arrangement, the guest revealed that after the wedding ceremony, they attended a “cocktail hour” in the bright sunshine, with an open bar and a bartender for approximately 150 guests. Not a single hors d’oeuvre was being passed around. ,
But the shocking part is yet to come. Talking about the dinner arrangements, the guest wrote, “We then enter a large plastic tent, where dinner takes place in the heat of summer at about 3 pm, when the sun is still very hot There is only one door for ventilation.”

However, guests felt humiliated when they learned that “very wealthy” guests at the wedding were given “profuse and high-quality bottles of wine, scotch, tequila and much food.”
Additionally, there was no dessert at the end of the night, “just Oreo boxes and a table of sliced apples.” The guest revealed that “the groom’s mother had tears in her eyes because she was embarrassed by how most of the guests were treated.”
