The Ramayana releases special stamps on the basis of the mural paintings during the visit of Thailand PM

Thailand released a special stamp on Thursday from the 18th century based on the Ramayana mural paintings, which is for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the country. PM Modi is in Thailand for the BIMSTEC Summit held from 2-4 April.

Murali shows the view of the 18th -century ‘Ramakian’, Thailand’s national epic, which is influenced by the Valmiki Ramayana.

PM Modi, thanked the Thai government for starting the memorial stamp, said how both India and Thailand “centuries -old relations are connected through our deep cultural and spiritual relations.”

“The centuries-old relations between India and Thailand are connected through our deep cultural and spiritual relations. The proliferation of Buddhism has added our people. From Ayutya to Nalanda, intellectuals have been exchanged. The stories of Ramayana are a part of the life of the Thai people,” PM Modi said.

He said, “The influence of Sanskrit and Pali is still reflected in language and traditions. I am thankful to the Thailand government that during my visit, a memorial stamp based on the 18th -century Ramayana mural paintings was released,” he said.

“As a special gesture to mark the official visit of a strong cultural and decent bond. PM @narendramodi, the Thailand government released a complex -designed ISTAMP showing the Ramayana murals painted during the reign of Raja Ram I,” MEA spokesperson Randra Jayaswal also posted on x.

Earlier today, PM Modi held a productive meeting with his Thailand counterpart Patongtern Shinavatra to add new strength to bilateral friendship, in which the two leaders discussed various fields of bilateral cooperation.

The two leaders agreed to elevate bilateral relations for a strategic partnership. India and Thailand also exchanged the memorandum in many areas.

The MOU includes a joint announcement on the establishment of the Indo-Thailand strategic partnership.

The ports of India, Sagarmala Division of the Ministry of Culture, Thailand, the Ministry of Culture, exchange of MOU for the development of the National Inheritance Heritage Complex (NMHC) at Lothal, Gujarat.

Cooperation in the field of micro, small and medium enterprises was also signed on an MoU between Thailand’s Small and Medium Enterprises (OSMEP) National Small Corporation Limited (NSIC) and office.

The North Eastern Region (MDONER) and the Ministry of Foreign Development of Thailand exchanged a MoU. An MoU was also exchanged between North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation Limited (NEHDC) and Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA).

Earlier today, in Bangkok, the Indian community welcomed PM Modi with chanting prayers, showing a deep rooted cultural bond which thrives.

From Thailand, PM Modi will leave for Sri Lanka for a two -day visit.
