The producer of Kannada slam Nanna’s Hi Nanna, it is called the ‘cheap copy’ of his film
Producer Pushkara Mallikarajuniya has accused the High Nanna’s team of making a “cheap copy” of his Kannada film Bhimaseena Nalamahraj without gaining remake rights. The makers of the Telugu film are yet to answer.

Actor Nani’s Hi Nanna, who was released on 7 December 2023, has found himself at the center of a dispute. Kannada producer Pushkar Mallikarajuniya, who is known for making a hit like Avne Srimananarayan and Kirik Party, has accused Nani and his team of copying their film.
Pushkara Mallikarajuniya has alleged that Hi Nanna is an informal remake of his 2020 film Bhima Sena Nala Maharaja and the Telugu film team failed to secure the necessary remake rights. He shared the poster of both Hi Nanna and Bhema Sena Nala Maharaja on Instagram, called it the “Cheap” Act.

In his Instagram Story, Mallikrjuniah directly addressed the grandmother and wrote, “Without taking the remake rights, Hi Nanna is made by copying our original film Bhimaseena Nalamahraj. What to do a cheap work, @Nameisnani. (SIC) “However, the story was later removed.
Hi Nanna, a romantic drama starring Nani starring Mrinal Thakur, was a professional and significant success. Directed by Shuruv, the film was praised for the emotional depth and attractive story of the film.
Continued under Vyas entertainment, it performed well at the box office and was dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The film was later made available for streaming on Netflix in January 2024.

Meanwhile, Nani’s fans were thrilled by the unveiling of a new poster for his upcoming film, Hit 3, released on the New Year. In Hit 3, Nani painted Arjun Sarkar with a striking salt and pepper, which creates a lot of enthusiasm. The film has been slated for the May 2025 release, which continues the popular hit franchise.
