The industry is shocked by the murder of Salman Khan’s friend and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui. He was shot dead near his son’s office and the responsibility for the murder was reportedly claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who have also issued death threats to the Dabangg star. Recently sources told NDTV that a conspiracy to murder the politician was hatched 10 days after the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house.
Sources in the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police told NDTV that a conspiracy to murder NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was hatched 10 days after the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai on April 14, 2024.
He also suspected that Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang had planned to attack individuals associated with Khan, and Baba Siddiqui was a prime suspect.
For those unaware, two men riding a motorcycle fired several rounds outside Salman’s residence in Bandra. During that time the police had arrested many suspects.
Furthermore, they found during the investigation that the gang members had used an illegal telephone exchange system (dabba calling) to execute their murder plan. In the case of Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother allegedly used it to instruct others.
Additionally, the main shooter, Shiv Kumar Gautam, remained at the crime scene for 20 minutes after the attack. He left his weapon, shirt and Aadhar card to join the crowd. Later, in the night, he also went to Lilavati Hospital to confirm the death and surrendered his mobile device to eliminate the traces being tracked by the police.
After Siddiqui’s death, his son Zeeshan gave an interview to BBC Hindi and talked about his relationship with the superstar. He said, “Salman Bhai was very upset after the murder of Baba Siddiqui. Dad and Salman Bhai were close like real brothers. After Dad’s death, Bhai supported me a lot. He always inquires about my well-being, every night he tells me about his Let’s talk about it.” Sleepless nights and all, his support is always there.”
Salman Khan was among the first people to visit the politician in the hospital after his demise and was seen getting emotional at his funeral. His family members also reached his residence to pay their last respects.
