A bike ride turned deadly for a 38-year-old Russian social media influencer in Turkey when she collided with a truck while riding her red BMW motorcycle, according to Turkish media outlets. Turkiye TodayTatyana Ozolina, known as “Mototanya” on social media, was travelling between Mugla and Bodrum when the fatal accident occurred. She lost control of her red BMW S1000RR 2015 and collided with a truck near Milas. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, Ms Ozolina was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Turkish biker accompanying him, Onur Obut, survived but suffered serious injuries and is hospitalized. A third biker at the scene is safe, the outlet reported. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
Ms Ozolina, widely known as Mototanya, was a popular moto vlogger with over 1 million followers on Instagram and over 2 million followers on YouTube. Dubbed “Russia’s most beautiful biker”, the influencer is known for her global motorcycle adventures. In her last Instagram post, Ms Ozolina shared that she was not allowed to enter Europe.
“4000 kilometers from home. Greece missed me, but not my motorcycle. I was in Greece on foot. I bought a magnet and returned it to Turkey. I was sad that I couldn’t travel around Europe, but not too much, because I knew that this could be the case… So, I moved on. Conquer beautiful, warm and hospitable Turkey,” she wrote.

According to SunMs. Ozolina’s bike was hit by another group of riders, causing her to brake suddenly. She was unable to avoid the collision and collided with a truck, losing control and causing fatal injuries. She died before an ambulance could arrive. Her family, including her 13-year-old son, is “in a state of shock,” the outlet reported.
Andrei Ivanov, head of the Motomosko association, paid tribute, saying “MotoTanya is no longer with us…Her life was bright and beautiful….Millions of people followed her. There is probably not a single motorcyclist in the country who would have been indifferent to Tatyana. She was loved, envied, admired, imitated, revered as a top blogger and, at the same time, discussed and slandered. All that remains now are memories of her. Sleep well.”
