Senapathy has been facing challenges both on and off screen. Recently, members of the E-Seva Association demanded the removal of a particular sequence from S. Shankar’s much-awaited film Indian 2.
The film, which hit theatres on July 12, faced severe criticism for its unnecessarily long screenplay, which reportedly bored audiences. In response, the makers cut 12 minutes from the original 3-hour duration.
Despite the edits, Indian 2 continues to receive average reviews from the box office and critics. This time, e-service employees expressed their concern about a particular scene that showed some of their employees taking bribes from citizens to provide services, leading to outrage.

He insisted that he was not involved in such activities and argued that there were bigger players in the world of corruption who needed to be exposed.
According to the report, they claim that Shankar unfairly targeted them. The e-Sewa officials have also called upon the Tamil Nadu government to intervene and resolve the situation.
More information about Indian 2
Directed by S. Shankar, Indian 2 sees Kamal Haasan returning as the iconic character Senapathy after almost three decades.
The much-anticipated film garnered attention for its casting of Anirudh Ravichander replacing composer A.R. Rahman as music director, its ensemble cast and the return of the iconic central character.
From day one, the film has been receiving appreciation for Haasan’s powerful performance, Anirudh’s background score, grand production design and sophisticated look and feel. However, the screenplay has received criticism from moviegoers as they found it extremely boring and clichéd.
The film received a poor response at the box office, owing to predominantly negative response, and grossed only ₹65 crore in its first five days in all three languages including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Looking at the current scenario, the film will not be able to recover its total budget at the box office, which will be extremely disappointing for a film with such high anticipation.
