Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series can see noticeable changes in design language and performance features, if fresh leaks are anything. A famous tipster on Digital Chat Station, Chinese social media platform Weibo has indicated that Apple is working on bringing thin bezels and a reused dynamic island. Additionally, support for 120Hz promotion display for all four models in the iPhone 17 lineup is also required.

The leak shows that Apple will no longer reserve ultra-slim bezels for its premium pro model. Instead, all the iPhones launched this year, including standard iPhone 17 and newly added iPhone 17 Air, can facilitate smooth boundaries around the screen. This will be a departure from the design approach used with the iPhone 16 series, where only the Pro and the Pro Max models benefited from less bezels and large screen sizes.

Apple has also been tipped to bring a 6.3 -inch screen shape to the iPhone 17, the same standard as screen size of the 16 Pro model. This step not only increases the display size, but also aligns the entry-level iPhone with premium variants in terms of screen dimensions. With this change, it becomes more possible to present thin bezels throughout the board.

The new iPhone 17 Air, which is asked to sit between the standard and the Pro model in terms of status and size, is also likely to receive this treatment. Since it is being introduced as a new addition to the iPhone lineup, Apple can use it to the design and feature gap between regular and pro models, especially for those who want a premium screen experience without the high value tag of Pro Max.

In addition to bezels, the leak also mentions a re -designed dynamic island in the lineup. While the description remains unclear, the mention of the leikar of “UI” indicates the potential software-level changes rather than a full hardware overhaul. The first rumors were that Apple could shrink the size of dynamic island in some models, especially iPhone 17 Pro Max, as it works towards integrating face ID under the display. However, this is the first time someone has suggested that all the iPhone 17 models can get an updated version of the Dynamic Island Interface.

That said, the digital chat station is mainly known for leaks related to hardware, so it is uncertain whether UI changes are mentioned based on internal knowledge or simply a prediction based on hardware modifications. Apple has not officially confirmed any details yet, so it is best to treat Dynamic Island updates with some caution for now.

Perhaps the most impressive change for everyday users will be the arrival of promotion technology throughout the iPhone 17 range. Apple has so far limited the 120Hz refresh rate feature to its Pro model, but it can finally change this year. All four iPhone 17 models expect the convenience of Ltpo OLED panels, which not only allow variable rates, but also always capable features such as a display. What Apple always brings support for non-ex-pro model, it remains to be seen, but the change in LTPO is a step in that direction.
