The iPhone 17 Pro, expected to be launched in September 2025, is rumored to bring many upgrades compared to its predecessor, iPhone 16 Pro. According to Tipster Majin Boy, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are set to facilitate 48-megapixel telephoto camera with an equal to 85 mm focal length (35 mm format). It marks a change from the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, offering a 120mm focal length with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens in September last year. Change is expected to increase portrait photography on the upcoming Pro model.

However, this adjustment comes with a business band. The iPhone 17 Pro model is rumored to offer a maximum of 3.5X optical zoom, which is a shortage of 5X zoom available on the current flagship model.
