At a recent press meet in Hyderabad, composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) expressed his excitement for Pushpa 2: The Rule while discussing his upcoming concert. Known for his close collaboration with director Sukumar, the DSP gave fans a preview of the much-awaited sequel, which will release on December 6, 2024.

“I recently watched the first part of Pushpa 2: The Rule and it blew my mind,” the DSP shared. “The narration was so entertaining that both Chandrabose and I found ourselves clapping along. There were moments when we felt the interlude coming, but the suspense remained. Sukumar’s direction is top-notch, and Allu Arjun’s performance is phenomenal. The film is really on another level,” he said.

The first installment, Pushpa: The Rise, became a box office sensation, garnering attention not only in India but globally. Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor, increasing anticipation for the sequel. The film’s mix of pastoral story, strong performances and DSP’s music contributed to its success.

While DSP continues to work on the background score for Pushpa 2, two singles from the film, Pushpa and Suski, have already gone viral, receiving widespread praise from both fans and critics. This initial success has further fueled excitement for the entire soundtrack.

Although the purpose of the press conference was to promote DSP’s concert, the discussion soon shifted to Pushpa 2. The DSP stressed that this project is special for him and he is focusing on making the background score as impressive as the first part. He promised fans that there were exciting surprises in store.

With production almost complete, the buzz about Pushpa 2: The Rule is growing. Mythri Movie Makers have planned a massive promotional campaign before the release. Allu Arjun returns in the lead role, supported by Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, who reprise their roles from the first film.
