Written and directed by Scott Cooper, Deliver Me from Nowhere is inspired by Warren Zanes’ book about the making of Springsteen’s critically acclaimed 1982 album Nebraska.
Filming took place primarily in Springsteen’s home state of New Jersey and New York, with some scenes being shot in Los Angeles. The film is expected to premiere in theaters next year.
The cast includes White as Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar technician Mike Batalon, and Odessa Young as his alleged girlfriend. Additionally, Jeremy Strong is in talks to play Springsteen’s longtime manager Jon Landau.
Produced by Disney’s 20th Century Studios, Deliver Me from Nowhere stars Cooper in collaboration with Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Wayne and Eric Robinson. Scott Stuber also serves as a producer, while Tracy Landon and Warren Zanes are executive producers.
