John Abraham, who was last seen in Vedas in 2024, is back with his new film The Diplomat. Starring Sadia Kateb, The Action Thriller was released on March 14, 2025. Directed by Shivam Nair, the recently released film has been set against the background of India -Pakistan relations. A day after a low opening, the diplomat is running at the same speed.
Diplomat continues his unwavering run on Saturday
Co-built by Bhushan Kumar, John Abraham and others, the diplomat started his journey on a slow note on Friday. The film’s early day took place with Holi Festival. On this occasion, there was not much benefit for your feet. Now, on 2 days, John Abraham starrer maintained a low grip, as it was the first day despite the weekend.
It is worth noting that the diplomat earned Rs 3.5 crore on the initial day. The beginning of the direction of Shivam Nair, however, exceeds anticipated. According to predictions, the action thriller was expected to collect Rs 2 crore. The film depends on the Word-of-Mouth to gain momentum in the early weekends.
Competition with diplomatic and Namaste London re-reliefs
The diplomatic holdover release is closing horn with Chhawa, which has entered the box office in its fifth week. Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster film based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj crossed a net point of Rs 500 crore in Hindi in 29 days of its release.
John Abraham’s action thriller clashed with the re-relief of London on March 14, 2025. The 2007 Rome-Com-Kam made Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif their dramatic comeback after 18 years.
Actors like Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi are also included in the lead roles in the diplomat.
