The first full trailer of Thangalalan starring Chiyaan Vikram is here. The film stars Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role, who is presumably playing the role of a local leader.

This Pa Ranjith film is based on the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka where the locals eventually rise up and revolt against the British as they have taken away their land illegally. The promos released show an interesting historical saga and with a stellar star cast, Thangalan looks quite promising.

‘Thangalan’ was earlier scheduled to release in January 2024. But it was postponed multiple times due to unavoidable circumstances. Earlier reports revealed that the makers have decided on August 15 as the new release date. However, it is yet to be confirmed.

Apart from Chiyaan Vikram, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Arjun Anbudan and Sampath Ram in pivotal roles.

Co-produced by Studio Green, Neelam Productions and Jio Studios, ‘Thangalan’ is written by Ranjith, Tamil Prabha and Azhagiya Periyavan. Music composer GV Prakash Kumar, editor Selva RK and cinematographer Kishore Kumar are part of the technical crew.

Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in Ponniyan Selvan II.
