Chiyaan Vikram and director Pa Ranjith’s upcoming film ‘Thangaalan’ is nearing release. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers are planning to hold events in Chennai and Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) in Karnataka. While the team will hold an audio launch in Chennai, the Karnataka event is expected to be a grand party. ‘Thangaalan’, set in Kolar Gold Fields, will release in theatres worldwide on August 15.

According to sources in Chennai, the audio launch is scheduled to take place on August 2. An official announcement regarding the same is still awaited.

Talking about the grand event at KGF, another source said, “The makers of Thangalalan are planning to hold a grand event at Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), where the film’s story is set. The event promises a celebration of creativity and culture like never seen before.”

As per reports, the event will see several performances and immersive exhibitions as per the theme of the film. Soon, an announcement will be made about the KGF event.

‘Thangalan’ is a historical fantasy action film directed by Pa Ranjith. The film is co-written by Pa Ranjith, Tamil Prabha and Azhagiya Periyavan. The film stars several actors including Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi and Daniel Caltagirone in lead roles.

Jointly produced by Studio Green, Neelam Productions and Jio Studios, the film will be released in multiple languages. Music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer A Kishore Kumar and editor Selva RK are part of the technical crew.
