Talking about joining the horror comedy universe as Thama, Ayushmann said, “I am excited that Dinesh Vijan thinks it is the best time for me to enter his blockbuster horror comedy universe and as Thama. It’s a good time, after making Stree 2. I am thrilled to be a part of the legacy of this universe and I am also responsible for giving the audience a dramatic experience! Feeling that they will remember for years to come.

This is the actor’s second collaboration with Dinesh Vijan after Bala in 2019. Talking about the same, Ayushmann said, “Dinesh and I have a similar passion for disruption. Our film Bala was a project that made people jump out of their seats. It was really refreshing. Thaama is our second collaboration and it’s so new that I can’t wait for people’s reaction when they watch it in theaters next Diwali.”

He further added, “We are attracted to each other when we want to completely break the mold and give the audience something they have never seen before. Thaama is that project, a complete wildcard , a film that no one has seen in India. I am really excited to be on the sets of this film and be on the big screen with the entire team of fellow visionaries like Dinesh and Amar Kaushik, my director Aditya Sarpotdar and the writing genius Niren Bhatt. Excited to create a great experience.

Thaama is expected to release in Diwali next year. the movie is Dinesh Vijan’s latest addition to the horror-comedy world after StreeWoman 2, Munjya and the wolf. Along with Ayushmann, Thaama also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
