Thalapathy Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is all set to make his directorial debut with the action-adventure comedy Sigma. The film is expected to release theatrically in 2026, with shooting likely to be completed soon.

Now, it looks like Jason himself may make a cameo appearance in a dance number in the film.

Jason Sanjay to play a cameo role in his debut film Sigma?

According to ongoing reports, the shooting of Sigma is almost complete, with a song sequence recently completed. Apparently, the makers had chosen actress Catherine Tresa for the special dance track.

Furthermore, it appears that the popular star kid and debutant director will also be seen in the song, which will be his second on-screen appearance. However, official confirmation is still awaited from the manufacturers.

For those unaware, Jason previously appeared as a child artiste in Tamil cinema alongside his father Thalapathy Vijay. In the 2009 film Vettaikaran, the superstar and his son danced together in the song “Naan Adicha”, composed by Vijay Antony.

Sigma is supposed to be an action-adventure comedy that revolves around "lone wolf" The protagonist who challenges societal expectations and goes in search of hidden treasures involving the themes of high-risk criminal heists.

Written by Jason Sanjay himself, the film marks his directorial debut and is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Composer Thaman S handles the music track and background score.

Along with Sandeep Kishan in the lead role, the film also stars Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yoga Japi, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, Magalakshmi Sudarshan and many others in important roles. Additionally, some actors are also rumored to make cameo appearances.

Reportedly, Jason had initially approached Dulquer Salmaan for the film, and the Kantha actor had shown interest in playing the lead role. However, due to scheduling conflicts, DQ had to pull out.

The actor will next be seen in the political action drama Jana Nayakan, which will release on January 9, 2026. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film stars Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in the co-lead roles.
