Thalapathy 69: Vijay will be the torchbearer in H Vinoth’s film, new poster released
Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, will hit the floors in October this year. The makers released the official announcement poster on Saturday, September 14.

The makers of Thalapathy 69 made the first official announcement about the film on Saturday. Sharing a new poster of the film, KVN Productions welcomed Thalapathy Vijay and confirmed that the film will be directed by H Vinoth. The poster further reveals that the music of the film, which is yet to be titled, is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Thalapathy 69 will be Vinod’s first Tamil directorial and the last film of Vijay’s career. According to the poster, the Tamil superstar is playing the role of a ‘torchbearer of democracy’, which indicates the story to be a vigilante drama. However, not much information has been revealed about the film yet.
Making the big announcement on social media platform x, KVN Productions wrote, “We are proud and excited to announce our first Tamil film #Thalapathy 69 directed by the visionary #HVNoth with music by the sensational rockstar @anirudhofficial. Produced by Venkat K Narayan in his hometown, the film will be co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK. The shooting of Thalapathy 69 is scheduled to begin in October this year. The makers are planning to release it in October next year.
