The makers of ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ released the trailer of the film in Mumbai on Friday evening. Directed by Aanand L Rai, it is a passionate love story and a spiritual sequel to his 2013 film ‘Raanjhanaa’, which starred Sonam Kapoor.

‘Tere Ishq Mein’ stars Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, and tells the story of passionate love, maybe even one-sided, that burns one heart and puts the other in pain. The trailer begins with Dhanush approaching an Indian Air Force officer as Flight Lieutenant Shankar. Then Kriti is seen sitting there with a stressed expression. Then Shankar is shown flying the plane.

Kriti’s character then confronts him and says, “Still aggressive and agreeable, you like this image of yourself, right?” The trailer then goes into a flashback, depicting Dhanush beating a man and Kriti stopping him and their toxic romance. She then tells him that she will make him a good, non-violent man. She warned that if he fell in love with her he could burn Delhi. We also get glimpses of their happy romance, beautifully shot in the Delhi winter. The story unfolds slowly, and we see the two lovers turn against each other, running away from each other and towards a joint destruction.

Rai brings his signature style to the pain of broken hearts and the longing of lovers which is visible in ‘Tere Ishq Mein’. This film, a musical by AR Rahman, has songs which are already going viral on social media. While Dhanush and Kriti look good together, it’s Rai’s storytelling style that makes this love story stand out.

‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is written by Himanshu Rai and Neeraj Yadav, and also stars Sushil Dahiya and Prabhu Deva. It is scheduled to release on screens on November 28.
