Telegram can become the latest platform to host Grake, which is XAI’s artificial intelligence chatbot. Grocke is also integrated into X. Grake on Telegram will be interesting, but the deal (between X and Telegram) seems to have some confusion around the final position. On Wednesday, Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov announced in a post on X that Groke would soon be available on Telegram. Durox said that XAI has agreed to pay telegram to $ 300 million in cash and stock as part of a one -year relationship. In addition, Telegram will also receive 50 percent revenue from XAI membership that are sold through Telegram.
Durov wrote in a post on X, “We will get $ 300 meter cash and equity from XAI, and also 50 percent of revenue from XAE membership sold through Telegram.”
However, Durov, a few hours after holding the post, Musk replied, “No deal has been signed.” This motivated Durov to clarify that both sides had “agreed” in principle, some formalities were still pending.

Durov says that when telegram users achieve access to grouke on platforms, AI chatbott will only be able to access data that users clearly choose to share in their interaction with chatbot. He said that secrecy will be the highest priority. “The user privacy is paramount,” he said. He said, “To be clear, XAI will only use data that telegram users share directly with grooc through interactions. It is expected – you cannot give a message to anyone (including chatbot) without sharing what you write,” he said.
In a separate post, Durov also stated that any AI tool integrated into Telegram would respect the long -standing secrecy policies of the platform. “Users are safe, fast and worth private messages – and should respect any AI feature we add.”

The brief exchange between Durov and Musk suspects that the deal may fall. We cannot really say until it is officially confirmed. The news is only partially official.
According to a report by RootsAgreement, if it passes, can be a strategic win for XAI, which aggressively expands its access to competitive AI space. Telegram, with its giant user base of over a billion, can provide XAI access to a huge audience and valuable user interactions to train its AI model. According to data shared by Durov, the Telegram premium alone has more than 15 million paid customers.
Tech companies like Meta, Perplexity and XE are rapidly looking for new data sources as open-source repository becomes rare. Perplexity recently rolled out Perplexity AI Chatbot on WhatsApp. Perplexity is also allegedly working on its own AI search browser called a comate, which the company’s CEO Arvind Srinivas says that it can help collect more data on its users.
