Odisha athletes forced to travel near train toilets: State’s negligence exposed

The group consisted of 10 boys and 8 girls, who had to travel in a general coach near the train toilet in the bitter cold due to lack of confirmed tickets. In a shocking tale of administrative apathy, an unidentified speaker details the harrowing journey of a group of children traveling for a sporting event. The speaker revealed that young athletes were forced to board trains without confirmed tickets for both legs of their journey. Due to the lack of reserved seating, children were reportedly crammed with up to five people per seat or forced to sit near the train’s toilets, known as the ‘Latin Side’. Due to mismanagement the team reached its destination after the match ended. The speaker claims to have video evidence of the incident, which exposes serious negligence with regard to the safety and respect of young players.
