Taylor Swift is making headlines after she stormed the stage with her sensational performance during her Eras Tour concert in Germany on July 18. According to a recent report by Deadline, ahead of her show and her performance at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, the police “detained an American man on suspicion of stalking” her. The report further states that the man was allegedly making threats against her and her boyfriend Travis Kelce on social media.

The outlet reported that the man was trying to attend her concert in Gelsenkirchen and had a ticket. However, he was detained at the entry control point before the concert on Wednesday. Event organisers alerted authorities to the suspected stalker’s harassing behaviour online.

However, authorities said that neither Swift nor her boyfriend Kelsey nor the audience at the show were in “danger”. The show, one of three concerts Swift performed in Gelsenkirchen, was attended by 60,000 people.

According to Marca, police said, “Since initial investigations could not completely rule out the possibility of him posing a threat, the suspect was identified and detained at the entrance control room before the concert.”

Taylor Swift says her iconic Eras Tour has become her ‘whole life’

In June 2024, Taylor Swift announced during her Eras Tour show in Liverpool, England that her iconic tour would end in December 2024. According to EW, during the show, Swift told the audience that celebrating her 100th show meant she was finally accepting that “this is the first time I’ve acknowledged myself and accepted that this tour is going to end in December. That’s it.”

The singer further explained that the Eras Tour has become her “whole life”, and that she does not miss her old hobbies, adding, “When I’m not on stage I just sit at home and try to think of some great acoustic songs and think of what you might like to hear.”

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has planned seven shows in Germany over the next two weeks, including performances in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.
