‘Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun Bad Blood’ is all set to stream in India. The fourth installment of Warner Bros Discovery’s popular ‘Vs.’ series, will be a two-part documentary series that will chronicle the epic feud between global pop-superstar Taylor Swift and music industry veteran Scooter Braun, discussing the $300 million dispute that broke out after Braun bought the rights to Swift’s first six albums in June 2019.

Are you waiting to watch it? Well, the series will premiere on Discovery Plus for Indian viewers on July 4, 2024. This docu-series combines the extremely popular ‘versus’ format which includes ‘Johnny vs Amber’, ‘Kim vs Kanye: The Divorce’ and ‘Vardy vs Rooney: The Wagatha Trial’.

Charlotte Reed, VP of commissioning, networks and streaming at WBD UK & Ireland, said: “Taylor Swift’s dispute with Scooter Braun over the ownership of her music has gone mainstream, moving contract law from the boardroom to social media and the public interest. This is a high-profile, high-interest story that has sparked debate in fandom and grabbed headlines, which will resonate with our audience who are hugely engaged with access-led documentaries like ‘VS’, which continue to be a popular format on Discovery+.”

In keeping with the ‘versus’ format, both episodes will examine opposing sides of the argument; one will feature Swift’s side that the sale was made without her consultation and that she has since been barred from buying back her masters, and the other will examine Braun’s allegations that Swift refused to negotiate and instead instigated a public feud by pitting her fan base against him.

Viewers will be given the opportunity to examine this controversy in a comprehensive way; the intricacies of music ownership, gender dynamics in the industry and the power of fan influence will be explored, while also shedding light on two polarised sides of the controversy, giving them the opportunity to form their own opinions.

The docuseries will feature legal experts, journalists and people close to Swift and Brown presenting their respective versions of the story.
