Popstar Taylor Swift’s decision to attend a football game instead of US presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ pre-election rally in Pennsylvania on Monday has caused a stir on the Internet.
Taylor Swift was spotted showing support for her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With this, she dismissed all speculations that she would perform at Harris’ rally, whom she had recently supported.
On Saturday, Vice President Harris posted a video on TikTok with Swift’s song “Long Live (Taylor’s Version).” Fans took this as an Easter egg, confirming that Swift would appear at the Pennsylvania rally.
Although Swift chose the match over a pre-election rally, she missed no opportunity to urge voters to cast their ballot on November 5. In an Instagram post, marking the end of the US shows on The Eraz Tour, Swift shared an “extremely important reminder to American voters”.
“And here’s a friendly but extremely important reminder that tomorrow is the US election and your last chance to vote,” he wrote.

Swift has been a vocal supporter of Kamala Harris and has publicly supported her and her partner Tim Walz. Earlier in September, Taylor Swift had said that she would vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Explaining her choice of vote, she wrote, “I am voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and issues I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think he is a determined, talented leader and I believe we can accomplish a lot in this country if we lead with peace, not chaos. I was very pleased and impressed by her selection of her running mate Tim Walz, who has stood up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right over her own body for decades.

Swift urged voters to research candidates’ stances on current issues and topics important to them, encouraging them to make informed decisions.
“As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about his proposed policies and plans for this country,” she wrote.
