Actor Shubangi started his film in ‘Tanvi the Great’ under the direction of actor-director Anupam Kher. She plays the role of an autistic girl, who is firm to join the Indian Army in the upcoming film.

The trailer introduces Tanvi, a girl who is different, but does not consider herself less. A three-minute four-four-second trailer depicts Tanvi’s dynamics with his grandfather, depicted by actor Pallavi Joshi by Kher and mother. The promo joined the Indian Army and showed his determination to honor the legacy of his late father.

Actor Arvind Swamy also plays an important role in ‘Tanvi The Great’ as he trains Tanvi alias Shubhangi to become an army officer. The video ends with the hero climbing the Mount Everest, while a group of soldiers hoist the Indian seer on the top of the mountain.

‘Tanvi The Great’ received an unprecedented reception at various film festivals, including Cannes Film Festival and New York Indian Film Festival. Speaking about the film, Kher said, “Everyone who sees Tanvi The Great will probably take a little kind of kinder, maybe also changed.”

He added, “This film is my tribute to every person who is different, but no less. It is a story of an autistic, luxurious, and fiercely set girl who dreams of joining the Indian Army. It is one of the most important films of my career, and I believe that audiences in India will already join people around the world.”

The film also features Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Karan Tacker, Nasar and Ian Glenn in important roles. The Soundtrack is composed by Oscar-winner MM Kerwani.

‘Tanvi The Great’ is produced by Anupam Kher Studio in collaboration with NFDC. Global distribution is being handled by Excel Entertainment, headed by Ritesh Siddhwani and Farhan Akhtar and AA Films led by Anil Thadney.

The film is scheduled to release worldwide on July 18, 2025.
