Tamil actor Srikanth was arrested by Chennai Police on Monday on charges of misuse of drugs. On Monday morning, he was brought to Nungambakkam police station for questioning. The actor’s blood sample was reportedly collected and sent for testing. After detailed interrogation, he was arrested by the police for alleged relations with Prasad.

The police had earlier arrested a former AIADMK’s workpass Prasad, investigating a pub dispute in Chennai. After investigation, the police discovered the participation of drugs, which expanded the investigation.

Investigations are underway to find out if another Tamil actor is involved.

Srikanth is an actor who has acted in Tamil and Telugu films. He is credited as Shri Ram in Telugu films. The actor made his debut in the Tamil film, ‘Rosa Kottam’ in 2002 and then went on to give hits with ‘April Madthil’, ‘Mansalem’ and ‘Parthiban Kanvu’ – all of which are still considered as some of the best films of his career.

In 2023, he set foot with ‘Okruku Okru’ in Telugu and quarreled between the two industries. Some of his remarkable films include ‘Bose’, ‘Kana Kanden’, ‘Advari Matalku Ardalu Verley’, ‘Poo’, ‘Nanban’, and ‘Coffee with Kadhal’.

He was last seen in the Tamil film, ‘Konzam Kadal Kanjam Modhal’.
