As Baahubali 1 completes 9 years, Tamannaah says: ‘It’s a dream come true to work with Rajamouli’
Tamannaah celebrated nine years of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ with a special post on Instagram. She shared old pictures from the film along with an emotional note.

SS Rajamouli’s epic film ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ completed nine years of its release on July 10. Tamannaah shared several throwback pictures from the first part to celebrate the milestone occasion. She wrote that her dream of working with director SS Rajamouli came true when she joined the cast of ‘Baahubali’. The two ‘Baahubali’ films opened the doors to the international market for Telugu and regional cinema.
On July 10, Tamannaah posted an emotional note about ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’. She wrote, “9 years ago, my dream of working with @ssrajamouli sir came true.”
She also added, “Being a part of this film with the amazing cast and crew was not only fun but also a huge learning experience! I will always cherish the privilege of being a part of this amazing film franchise… and will always be grateful to the audiences who have loved our film then and now.”

In 2015, SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ left everyone stunned across the world. Set in the fictional world of Mahishmati, this Telugu film raised perhaps the most frequently asked question – ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’
This period action film by SS Rajamouli is iconic in many ways, thanks to his brilliant vision. The film was shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in other languages. It turned out to be a blockbuster and its first part alone grossed over Rs 650 crore globally. The second part hit the theatres in 2017 and grossed over Rs 1,800 crore.
The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Produced by Arka Media Works, the film has music by M.M. Keeravani, editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and cinematography by K.K. Senthil Kumar.
