Taiwanese woman allegedly kills 2-year-old boy after beating him for a week

An influential woman in Taiwan who described herself as a “caring” mother of five has been accused of abusing and murdering a 2-year-old boy who was in her care. according to South China Morning Post (SCMP)The woman, identified only by her surname Sung, allegedly murdered a baby after repeatedly abusing her for a week. She was previously a parenting expert and had nearly 9,000 followers on Facebook. The woman was posting loving pictures of herself and her five children and sharing her experiences as a parent. So, the boy’s father was convinced by her post and sent his son under her care in February, paying her $930 per month.

However, in June, the little boy vomited and fainted after being beaten in the bath. At that time, Sung rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared dead due to serious injuries. Later forensic examination revealed 15 old and new injuries to the boy, seven of which were caused by a club and a shoe horn. The 2-year-old also suffered a skull fracture and brain bleeding, the outlet reported.

according to SCMPSung, who was raising her children on her own, was granted a home care license in 2022 but it was revoked in March. The boy’s father registered with the government for Sung to continue caring for his son.

Sung reportedly abused the boy for a week before his death because he refused to eat his food alone and did not maintain adequate hygiene. A surveillance camera installed at his home recorded his crime. Authorities said the woman repeatedly hit the boy over the head with a shoe horn, threw him against a wall and threw him into the bathtub, ultimately killing him.

Meanwhile, on social media, users learned that in 2016, Sung had posted that she “feels pained about reports of child abuse” and condemned parents abusing their own children. . “What were you thinking abusing another people’s child in front of your five children?
