Taimur is reserved, Jeh is everywhere: Sharmila Tagore on grandchildren

Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore talked about the popularity of her grandchildren, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s sons, Taimur and Jeh. He also shared his unique character traits and narrated an anecdote from Saif’s childhood that taught him an important lesson about communicating with children.
talking to ScreenThe 80-year-old actor mentioned that she initially believed that Taimur was only popular among children, but she was soon proven wrong.
“Initially, I thought he (Taimur) was popular in the kids category, but then I came to know that he is the most popular overall in every category,” Sharmila said. Despite his massive popularity, Sharmila revealed that Taimur, who will turn 8 on December 20, “is a really quiet and reserved person.”
In contrast, her younger brother Jeh, Sharmila said, “is everywhere and very sweet. He is very different by nature.”
Taimur, born on December 20, 2016, became an internet sensation when his parents, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan introduced him to the world. Paparazzi follow him wherever he goes.
Sharmila, during an earlier interview with IANS, had acknowledged the frenzy surrounding her grandson. He said, “I think we have to live with it. This is the age of social media. I don’t think there’s anything that can be done about it.”
while conversing with ScreenSharmila also shared an anecdote from Saif’s childhood which emphasized the importance of listening to children instead of interrupting or ignoring them.
“I learned this when Saif was growing up. Once, he was trying to tell me something, and I interrupted, thinking I understood what he was saying, and the conversation escalated to a point. You have to really pay attention because they don’t directly say what they want to say. They say it in a very twisted way. You can’t answer them immediately,” Sharmila said.
On the work front, Sharmila Tagore will next be seen in the film Outhouse, which also stars Mohan Agashe, Sonali Kulkarni and Neeraj Kabi. This film is going to be released on 20th December.
