Tahira Kashyap wants someone to ask Ayushmann: How can you shoot a film with kids at home?
Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap wants men to feel guilty if they give priority to work over their family.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife and writer-director Tahira Kashyap recently expressed her views on the role of parents and stressed that fathers should also feel guilty if they give priority to work over their family and children.
In a recent interview, Tahira, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her directorial venture, Sharmaji Ki Beti, questioned why her husband Ayushmann is never asked about managing the shooting of the film despite having two kids at home.
“I was talking one day about how we ask a woman how they manage everything when they have kids. I really wish Ayushmann and other men were asked that,”How do you go for a shoot, how do you shoot 3 films and you have 2 kids at home Tahira said, “How do you manage to shoot for three films when you have two kids at home?’ Not just women, they should also be made to feel guilty for all this.” indianexpress.com.

Tahira also revealed that there have been many times when she has prioritised her work over her son. She said, “Women have this kind of mindset that they always feel guilty about choosing their work over their children. I chose a meeting over my children’s PTA. I have made these tough choices. I remember I had a conference that day and my son’s first performance in a musical theatrical was also on the same day, so I had to skip it.”
She further added, “So, no matter who points it out, the guilt is always there. I just want to know what is the nature of men. And these questions should be asked of them again and again because obviously, they don’t feel guilty. So we should keep asking them until they feel guilty because women already feel guilty.”
Tahira’s upcoming film ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’, starring Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles, alongside Vanshika Taparia, Arista Mehta, Sharib Hashmi and Parvin Dabas, explores the aspirations, dreams and coming of age moments in the lives of middle-class women from different backgrounds – all with the surname ‘Sharma’.
The film will premiere on Prime Video on June 28.
