Taapsee Pannu doesn’t want to ‘please’ the paparazzi: They are not getting me films
Actress Taapsee Pannu, who often gets into arguments with paparazzi, said she does not want to ‘appease’ them as they are serving their vested interest.

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu often gets into arguments with paparazzi. Videos of her getting annoyed at them chasing her car or shouting her name have surfaced on social media in the recent past. And Taapsee doesn’t even feel obliged to “pacify” them. She feels that pleasing them won’t get her films.
Taapsee, who is busy promoting her upcoming Netflix film Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, recently spoke to IANS. Fever FM and shared why she doesn’t feel obliged to cater to paparazzi requests. She said she is bothered by the clickbait one-liners that go along with paparazzi videos on social media.
Focusing on how people click more on ‘sensationalist’ headlines on social media, Taapsee said, “Tell me who clicks on positive news? When was the last time you clicked on a positive news? Now, this kind of news is more sensationalist. ‘She is being bad and rude with the paparazzi’ so everyone is like, ‘What happened, what happened, we will have to see’ (What happened? Let’s see). So it’s more exciting for the audience.”
He continued, “This thing is not letting me get the picture (These things are not getting me films). My films speak for themselves. So, I don’t have to please a section of the so-called media. I don’t even call them direct media because they are serving their vested interests Someone just click on our portal (That someone clicks on our portal). I don’t call them media. Media should not put lines or videos out of desperation you just need to click on it (which is clickbait).”

In 2022, a photographer got angry with Taapsee because she did not want to stop to take pictures when she arrived at the event. He started arguing with the actor and the actor told him with folded hands, “Only you are always right and the actor is always wrong.”
Talking about that incident he told Bollywood Hungama that today anyone with a phone or a camera is a paparazzi and in this age of social media, it has become easy to defame someone based on just a one-sided video.
Talking about work, Taapsee will next be seen in Haseen Dilruba. Starring Sunny Kaushal and Vikrant Massey, the film will stream on Netflix from August 9.
