Syrian membership in Islamic Group restored

Syrian membership in the organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was restored, OC announced in a statement on Saturday.

The decision was taken during an extraordinary meeting of the OIC Council, which was convened in Jeddah on Friday to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggressive and annexation plans against the Palestinians and forced them to displace from their land.

The statement said that the decision came at Syria’s request, and necessary measures will be taken to implement the decision.

The meeting held at the request of Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Iran supported all OIC proposals on Palestine and Jerusalem, recently reported by the Xinhua news agency by the Extraordinary Arabs and Islamic Summit in Riyadh last November.

Meanwhile, Iran has expressed serious concern over increasing violence and insecurity in Syria.

Iran closely monitored the internal development of Syria and said with great concern of violence and insecurity reports in various parts of the Arab state, Exmail Bagai, spokesman of the Ministry of External Affairs, said.

He commented in response to the rapid clashes in the coastal areas of Syria in the last 24 hours.

Baghaei emphasized the need to ensure security and stability in Syria and create conditions for all Syrian groups to create peaceful co -existence. He also emphasized the need to maintain Syrian’s regional integrity in front of Israeli’s aggression and dangers.

Bagi said that Iran strongly opposed insecurity and violence in Syria and kills and mimping the Syrian people “oppressed” from any group or tribe.

Since Thursday, at least 147 people have died between Syrian interim government forces and fierce clashes between armed opposition groups affiliated to the former government.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the clashes had marked the most deadly growth since the fall of the previous government last December.
