Jawaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, was one of the most talked about Bollywood films in 2023. The film marked the Hindi debut of director Atlee and leading lady Nayanthara and continued Shah Rukh’s success streak after Pathan.
The film focuses on Aazad, who is a jailer in a women’s prison but also works as a vigilante to fulfill her personal vendetta and correct the injustice in her society. With the help of her team, Aazad manages to complete various missions, escaping the clutches of the police almost every time.
However, things take a major turn when his newly-wed wife starts stalking him and an enemy from the past comes knocking at his door. The rest of the film focuses on how Azaad completes his mission and a shocking past enters his life.
