Surprised by IIFA honour, Karan Johar touched Shahrukh Khan’s feet and hugged him.
Karan Johar was honored at IIFA 2024 on completing 25 years in cinema. He was surprised to receive the award and touched the feet of Shahrukh Khan before hugging him.

Filmmaker Karan Johar was pleasantly surprised when he was honored at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) on Saturday, September 28. He received this award for his contribution to Indian cinema. A video from the awards night showed him looking surprised when Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal announced his name on the stage. Before receiving the award he also touched Shahrukh’s feet.
Before calling them on the stage, Shahrukh and Vicky asked the children to carry forward the legacy of their parents. Calling Karan as his “brother, friend and my companion in good and bad times”, Shah Rukh requested the audience to give a loud applause for Karan.
Vicky said, “Today IIFA honors Karan Johar for completing 25 years in the Indian film industry and creating a legacy.”

Shocked Karan came on stage and hugged Vicky. He then proceeded to meet Shahrukh and playfully touched his feet and hugged him before giving his acceptance speech.
